Brief Hosting Outages Addressed

Good Function Networks suffered some intermittent website outages over the past few days (August 6-7). The intermittent outages were specifically limited to sites who are hosted on one of the MySQL databases. The problem has been fixed and outages should no longer be experienced.

Django 1.0.2 Port & Other Miscellany

I completed the port to django 1.0.2 this past weekend and addressed some needed bugs in the process. Django certainly is a solid framework. Among the fixes: single sign-on is coming closer to reality and password resets are more user-friendly.

Subversion and WebSVN Added to Available Services

This week we added Subversion client access and WebSVN for repository browsing to the available hosting services. Personalized, private Subversion services should be very convenient for members that provide multi-site design and development.

For Subversion client access, we're utilizing the Apache mod_dav_svn module to support virtual hosting, multi-auth, ssl (if needed). The WebSVN component, is a stable, easy to use interface for general browsing of repositories. WebSVN supports syntax highlighting, tarball downloads and source code diffs.

Both services are available for setup immediately and will utilize 'single sign on' with the main Good Function Site. Contact the Good Function admins to try a demo or setup repos for your host or domain.
